Dirk is one of the three Founders and Managing partner of DAIN Studios (http://dainstudios.com/)) – Big Data and AI boutique consultancy with offices in Helsinki, Munich, and Berlin. Dain stands for Digital, AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Insights providing data consultancy, execution, and product development. The company combines a team of highly experienced experts in the field of Data, Data Science and Privacy and former executives from Nokia’s former Consumer Analytics team. Dain is currently serving well-known, international customers in Finland, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria including HMD, DNA, and VR.

Dirk is a veteran in the consumer electronics industry has acted in various product,
marketing, and strategy roles at Siemens, BenQ, Nokia, and Deutsche Telekom. He has implemented corporate-wide, customer-centric innovation, big data and analytics programs including world-wide customer panels, Think Tanks and Trend Scouting Networks. At Nokia, he was in charge of setting up and leading the 100+ people staffed Consumer Data & Interaction Program and as part of Nokia’s digital strategy in late 2000‘s.

Currently, Dirk helps companies in the area of data and analytics strategy and execution, digital transformation, business model disruption and innovation management. As part of his responsibilities he defines and drives their transformation effort, change strategy and implementation programs. Big Data, Internet of Things, and agile development methods have been on Dirk’s agenda far before they became buzzwords. Dirk has an MA in Media Science, Psychology and Economics from the Ludwig Maximillian University in Munich.
